The Office of Institutional Advancement is committed to raising resources and building relationships; encouraging alumnae, parents, friends, corporations and foundations to participate in the growth and development of Our lady of Lourdes Academy. The primary role of the Advancement Office is to secure contributions and other revenue to assure quality student learning now and for the future.

In its 48-year history, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy has educated over 6,000 young women. Our Lady of Lourdes Academy remains committed to its Catholic traditions and the ideals upon it which it was founded.

Under the leadership of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM), and a dedicated faculty and staff, students leave Our Lady of Lourdes Academy armed with the tools necessary to face the future strengthened by their faith, and prepared and confident in their abilities to achieve their goals.

The challenge, however, to uphold the legacy is even greater than before. While the cost to educate these young women continues to escalate, we remain committed to providing the academic and spiritual education for which Our Lady of Lourdes Academy is renowned. Through the efforts of the Office of Institutional Advancement, we strive to keep tuition affordable for all families.

Every gift makes a difference – whether your contribution is big or small, it is important for you to know that your support makes a difference for students at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy every day. Your gifts preserve and perpetuate the traditions we hold so dear and build a school ready to take on the challenges of the future.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with you as you invest in the lives of the young women of today, the future leaders of our community.

Donor Honor Roll

Each year, the Office of Institutional Advancement recognizes all those who have donated their time, talent and treasure to Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, in the Donor Honor Roll. The Donor Honor Rolls is published during the fall of each school year and acknowledges those who supported the school during the previous school year.

2011-2012 Donor Honor Roll

The Annual Donor Honor Roll is compiled from submissions by the Parents’ Guild, Alumnae Association, and individual faculty and staff members, as well as the financial information recorded by the Office of Institutional Advancement. Although we try our best to have accurate information, we recognize that we may unintentionally leave someone out.

It has come to our attention that the following people were omitted from our 2011-2012 Donor Honor Roll:

Alumnae Association
Phon-A-Thon Committee:
Mrs. Lola Blanco Sanchez ‘78

Parents' Guild
Parent Class Representatives (Sophomore Class):
Mrs. Patricia Marin Silva ‘88

Program Enrichment
Constitution Team:
Mrs. Cristina Moreno
Mr. Manuel Garcia-Linares

We are very grateful for your help during the 2011-12 school year and we apologize for this oversight.

Ways to Give

Pledge Commitments to the Education Fund

The pledge to the Education Fund of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy is the largest fundraising initiative conducted each year.

After a student’s acceptance to the school, the parents will meet with the Office of Institutional Advancement, to become mutually acquainted, answer questions about the school and create an individualized pledge plan.

The average pledge requested is $4000.00, payable by the end of an enrolled student’s junior year. The amount of each pledge is based on each family’s financial situation. The Education Fund is vitally important, in order to maintain our tuition within the reach of all families.

Contributions made to the OLLA Education Fund are used for capital improvements and expenditures, financial assistance to deserving students, enrichment of academic programs, preliminary building project expenditures, and increasing our Endowment fund.

It needs to be noted that all monies raised through the Education Fund have a direct impact on the daily lives of our students. Its continued growth is vital to sustaining the high quality academics, athletics and artistic programs to which Our Lady of Lourdes Academy students and families have become accustomed to.

Annual Mail Campaign

The Annual Mail Campaign is Our Lady of Lourdes Academy's yearly request for donations from parents, alumnae parents, alumnae and friends of the school. These contributions are used to meet the many operational needs of the school.

In-Kind Gifts

An in-kind gift is a donation of tangible property or services other than securities/cash.

Honor and Memorial Gifts

You may honor or memorialize a loved one by giving a gift to Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. These gifts are designated for scholarship and/or financial assistance, unless otherwise specified.

Planned Gifts

Planned gifts or deferred gifts allow you to make a significant gift to Our Lady of Lourdes Academy now that will benefit the school in the future. A planned gift can be as simple as remembering Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in your will. There are also gifts which include bequest, life insurance, trusts, retirement accounts and gifts of stock and property.

Matching Gifts

Matching gift programs are corporate-sponsored employee benefits designed to encourage philanthropic support of secondary education. Many companies will double or even triple an employee’s donation to Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. If your company offers a matching gifts program, simply pick up a matching gift form from your human resources office and mail it along with your contribution to the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Other Ways

The Office of Institutional Advancement provides many volunteer opportunities for parents, alumnae, alumnae parents and friends of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy to be involved in the school life. Annual events sponsored by the Parents' Guild and Alumnae Association also bring the school community together throughout the year.
